Study: Microbes Ate the Gulf Oil Spill

As scientists try to figure out where BP’s deepwater oil plumes went and practically no one believing the government’s it magically disappeared story, researchers from Berkeley may have solved it: microbes. Special oil eating microbes were reportedly very effective in consuming the oil and a lot less toxic than the dispersants BP was using.
