Of course, it wasn’t done by an ad agency, or worse, the government. It was directed by New Yorker Michael Krivicka, and features the “human orchestra” Kenny Muhammad beatboxing in Washington Square Park.
Being a drummer, I’m a sucker for good percussive beatboxing. I like the quick cutting between the slick smoker tricks and Muhammad. I even like the first part of the ending when the “S” is dropped from “Skills” in the title to form Kills. But sorry Michael, I got a nit (I almost always do): You should have stopped there. Adding “Music,”, “Friends,” “Family,” and “Life” was overkill. Keep it simple. |Video: scary ideas|
