As the digital citizens of the world anxiously awaited for an Abyss-sized tidal wave to hit Hawaii this afternoon, CNN’s @Rick Sanchez was drowning in a pool of assholiness on air. Word quickly spread of his childish antics and spicy temper and Twitter got so mad, they were even hating on a guy named Rich Sanchez.
Btw, that is definitely not Hawaii, but it is a grouping of islands!
So he was pretty much behaving the way I do when I've had a few drinks at lunch and no cigarettes. I don't see what the big deal was.
He's an asshole, but it's kind of funny and refreshing in a Ron Burgundy sorta way.
I still cannot believe CNN hired Sanchez, who nearly killed a pedestrian in Miami after a Dolphins football game. Sanchez hit the guy with his car, then left the scene of the accident. He returned, and when police noticed alcohol on his breath, Sanchez said he took a drink at home to calm his nerves. No DUI charge was filed. Sanchez is scum.
Gary, actually Jeffrey Smuzinick eventually died from the injuries he sustained when Sanchez hit him while drunk driving.
