According to this impartial video, Muslims want to build an Islamic center blocks away from the World Trade Center as a “permanent symbol of victory.” In fact, historically, that’s the only reason why they’ve built them. Can you imagine the horror? That would be like the Christians building churches in places they’ve conquered. Surely, that never happened.

k, first. The image they showed of St. Sophia was actually the Blue Mosque. St. Sophia is a couple of blocks over. And it is now a museum, not a mosque.
Second, in Cordoba. They say that this cathedral was turned into a mosque after the Muslims arrived. Wrong! The mosque was first, but after the reconquista, the Spanish plopped a huge cathedral in the middle of it.

Mosque? what about the Church that was at Ground Zero during the attacks? The government has blocked all efforts to get that church rebuilt blaming the usual "delays in planning and rebuilding". The Saudi funded mega-mosque seems to have no problem quickly moving ahead with all government and community approvals. there seems to be some truth to the video.
