Probably not, even if the Daily News recently obtained evidence to the contrary. The paper got their hands on two notices that were posted in the roll call room at the 77th Precinct’s stationhouse specifying the number and type of moving violations that need to be filled. Despite this latest finding and many others like it, the NYPD refuses to admit what pretty much everyone else in the city already knows.

Why would the NYPD admit they have quotas? The “finest” actually believe they are above everyone else. And it’s not as if they have to answer to anyone. Who will stand up to the NYPD? There is no politician with the guts to stand up to their union. IAB? They only go after officers who rock the boat. And the public? Psss, either they are not paying attention or they are scare. Let’s admit it guys, this has been obvious for way too long…
