For almost a decade, there hasn’t been too much progress at Ground Zero, but on Wednesday a major milestone was reached when Subway opened up an exclusive franchise for construction workers on top of the stump that is 1 World Trade Center. The modified shipping container is equipped with all the amenities a standard store has and as it slowly rises with the rest of the tower, will double as a bright yellow reminder to the country’s snail-like deficiencies. |NYT|
