campotrack1 Although riding around the streets on a fixed gear with riser bars and color coordinated components is fun and all, the real action is on the track. Luckily, NYC has one and for the next two weeks, cycling master John Campo will be teaching people the ways of the fixed at the Kissena Velodrome in Queens…for free! (Read some of the basic rules here.) The classes run from 12:30pm-2:30pm, but it makes sense to arrive at least 30-45 minutes early and make sure you have a proper set of drop bars regardless of how much your more trendy track friends will judge you.
