Kind of like NYC’s Taxi of the Future design contest, NASA asked aviation titans Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman and Boeing to create concepts for aircrafts that fly cleaner, higher, and close to the speed of sound. Last weekend, someone walked into a Brooklyn police station and sold a 9mm handgun for $100 as part of the NYPD’s ask-no-questions buyback program. Turns out that it was one of the guns that was stolen out of the 103rd Precinct stationhouse in Queens, presumably by cops who were pissed off about having to work the weekend shift.
