Flight Records Needed to Track Down Mayor

Like other billionaires, Mayor Bloomberg needs his private time (and jet). That’s totally understandable. Refusing to disclose weekend jaunts as massive blizzards wallop the city, however, isn’t. The Wall Street Journal attempted to find him using FAA flight records, and apparently, the Dassault Falcon 900EX he travels on really likes Bermuda.

The luxury business aircraft traveled to the island 16 times in 2010 alone, including an excursion that “coincided with the December blizzard.” Although the paper admits they can’t confirm he was on every flight, this bit of circumstantial evidence might be the best recreation of a feudal mayor’s whereabouts that a plebeian public can hope for.
