Just like in NYC, enforcement of Australia’s aggressive anti-graffiti laws has led to unbridled absurdity. A couple operating a cafe in a Melbourne suburb that allows toddlers to draw with chalk on the sidewalk out front, was told by the city council to cease the illegal activity immediately after a resident complained.
