Classic Staircase Chase Scenes to Be Reenacted in Times Square
Next week, the staircase in Duffy Square is going Battleship Potempkin! Times Square Alliance is commissioning performance artist Liz Magic Laser and a crew of actors to reenact chases from 28 Days Later, The Shining, American Psycho, M, Niagara and more.
So, we’ll see gals chased down stairs with a chainsaw, up stairs with crazy and down in a crowd behind a bouncing baby carriage with a bullet in her eye… Um, classic.
Flight will be performed at Duffy Square in Times Square, between 46th and 47th Street:
Tuesday, May 3 (two performances) Noon and 1 pm. (press previews)
Friday, May 6 (three performances) 7 p.m., 8 p.m. and 9 p.m.
Saturday, May 7 (four performances) 1 p.m., 2 p.m., 8 p.m. and 9 p.m.
