Ozium Sales to Plummet in Massachusetts
The highest court in Massachusetts ruled that officers can no longer order someone out of their car and perform a warrantless search merely because it reeks of smoked weed. Chief Justice Roderick Ireland cited the ballot passed by voters in ’08 and wrote: “Ferreting out decriminalized conduct with the same fervor associated with the pursuit of serious criminal conduct is neither desired by the public nor in accord with the plain language of the statute.” Agreed!
