How to View Ryoji Ikeda’s the transfinite: A Practical Guide

Japanese sound/video artist Ryoji Ikeda premiered his projection duo the transfinite last night, inside Park Avenue Armory’s giant, dark hall. I popped in just as MoMA PS1 dir. Klaus Biesenbach was ducking out, so here are some practical tips on enjoying this pulsating monster of an art installation… without name-checking Immanuel Kant and the “mathematical sublime” because I’m not fancy. Who Wants the Titanic’s Plans?

If you want to know how not to build a cruise ship, there’s a 300-lot auction at Henry Aldridge & Son in UK on May 28th where you can buy a 32.5-foot-long cross-section of the Titanic. Atari Game ‘Posters’ for Modern Movies

People old/ironic/nerdtastic enough to know what Atari is will enjoy this series of mock-game visuals from Penny Design. As a throwback to the once-thriving, bootleg market of “lackluster video game tie-ins” vaguely alluding the blockbusters of the ’70s and ’80s, these amusing 8-bit doozies will look lovely on your wall regardless of your age or nerd status. Who wouldn’t love a maze within a maze within a maze Inception PacMan?
