A man in a wife-beater, who appears to have taken a piss in public, was approached by two plainclothes officers early Sunday morning in the West Village, but when tried to arrest him, he bolted. They quickly sprung into action, slamming the man onto the street and then onto the back of a car, yet he still managed to get away. A surveillance camera captured the embarrassing incident, which could explain why the NYPD is claiming he assaulted one of the cops.

The Marriage Equality Act took effect today and hundreds of same sex couples (and two puppets) wasted no time making their nuptials official all across the city. New York is the sixth state to legalize gay marriage and now that this issue is sorted out, hopefully the same can be done for medical weed.
Talented singer and habitual drug user Amy Winehouse has died at the tender age of 27. She was reportedly found dead in her London apartment today. Earlier in the week, she attended the iTunes Festival where her goddaughter Dionne Bromfield was performing. Read more »
