“Monster” Washes Ashore in Long Beach

This unidentified creature washed up on the shore of Long Beach Island in the aftermath of the softer-than-soft Hurricane What’s-Her-Name. It looks strangely similar to the infamous Montauk Monster of multiple summers past, as much as bloated, unidentifiable, fur-stripped animals can look alike anyways.

This latest discovery is a fine specimen that we knew would come eventually; after all, it’s not really a summer without a “monster” invading NY’s shores. Although nothing will ever be as beautiful or as frightening as the original beast of Montauk, let’s just hope this carcass was saved so its DNA can be analyzed, and we can put this myth to rest once and for all.

  3. Sean

Could be a polar bear. Then someone can blame climate change.

  4. Finn

    it's a sea bear.

  5. xardoz

    Drowned, bloated and crab-nibbled dog.

  6. Day

can you not tell its a bear? yeesh.

  7. It's not a bear. There's a video on Buzzfeed that shows a long tail, and a definite wolf-like body. I think this is yet another creation of Plum Island. Look it up and educate yourself.

  9. lkasjdsal

    it's obviously manbearpig.

  10. Amykins

It's a seal. Not a bear. Its face and some of its fins have been eaten away, but that's very much a seal.

  11. Kelly

    Its a potato!

  12. SINCE WHEN ARE THERE BEARS ON LONG ISLAND??!?1?

    yeesh.

  13. Hey look, it's that picture of the dead raccoon from like three years ago. Go fuck yourselves.

  14. BEARS

False. Seals don't have external ear pinnae. Nice try, though.

  15. Moody

    Hahahaha a potato!!!!

  16. HowLongIsChinese

    Yup… It’s Snookie.

  17. Rainbow

Could be a crackhead who got ahold of the wrong stuff.

  18. Its most likely a very bloated dog. I don't think that extension on its bum is a tail though. The feet are the best teller, not big enough for a bear. (A bear on Long Beach, seriously?) I'm thinking a German Shepherd.

  19. Scratch that. That is a tail.

Plum Island? Been there. Worked there.

And nope PI didnt create it… for it's a former Hopey McChange supporter, who was so distraught over his/her voting for him, to prove they were not racist, but yet good not see the good news… so they drwoned themself, instead.

    How sad.

But the good new is, they would have had to vote for someone else in 2012, to prove they were not an idiot.

    No?

  21. Jgirl

Quick! Someone call the Umbrella Co. to get their dog.

  22. Brian Danger Bakos

People Please! Can't you see this is what the monster wants from us. To fight about some useless topic and to turn on each other. Who's to say this "creature" is even a monster. We are the true monsters for fighting with each other over a petty squabble such as this… and it's clearly a polar bear.

  23. Dumbledorito

I'm not scratching that with a rake nailed to a ten-foot pole.

  24. Anon

A bear. Or a mountain lion.

  25. Lucy

what I want to know is what happened to the one they found on Montauk? Didn't anbody investigate that?

  26. O NOES TEH MOUNTEN LIONZ OF LONG ISLAND!!!1!

  27. Luke

Hey morons.. there are no BEARS, POLAR BEARS, MOUNTAIN LIONS, or anything of the sort on Long Island at ALL!

You have raccoons, possums, a few deer out east and other small game, nothing even close to the moronic things many here are suggesting!

Plum Island, Cold Springs Harbor and a couple of other places, like Brookhaven labs are known for doing countless secret experiments of kinds, including the creation of LIME DISEASE which was first released in Connecticut. That is why the first cases OF it first showed up..where, in Connecticut. Since Conn. is a very wooded state, it was easy to have plausible deniability and say it was some natural shit. But many scientists have said that Lime diseases has many traits of being a man made, genetically engineered virus.

  40. A fascinating dialogue is worth remark. I believe that you need to create extra on this subject, it won’t be a taboo subject but generally individuals are not enough to speak on such topics. To another. Cheers
