Huffington Post Writer Naomi Wolf Arrested in Front of Huffington Post Event


A little after 9PM, academic and feminist writer Naomi Wolf joined Occupy Wall Street demonstrators in front of Skylight Soho, a space that was hosting an event she attended for the Huffington Post, a website she contributes to. They were protesting Governor Cuomo’s refusal to extend NY’s “Millionaires Tax.” Noticing the crowd that had assembled across the street, she challenged the NYPD’s claim that people can’t march in front. After numerous warnings by police that she would be arrested for obstructing the sidewalk, she ignored them and was promptly apprehended.
