New York City’s first casino opens up at the Aqueduct Racetrack in Queens today and it sucks. Although the New York Times goes out of its way to try and make comparisons to Las Vegas, it falls waaaaaaay short, mainly because it’s comprised entirely of video gambling machines. Read more »

Chinese dissident and world’s most powerful artist Ai Weiwei has directed this W Magazine spread at Rikers Island via Skype from his studio in Beijing, because he has a good sense of humor about being kidnapped and imprisoned by the government for 80 days.
