Union busting!” As Sotheby’s auctions was having one of their most extravagantly successful auction and raked in $315 million last night, over one hundred showed up for a planned protest in solidarity with the Teamsters Local 814 union members. The art handlers have been locked out since August. Things got violent, apparently.

As a auction attendees and protestors exchanged “Fuck you!” yells while restrained by guards and the NYPD stepped in to hurl protestors off the street into the sidewalk and shoved them roughly with wooden barricades.
