A pair of acrobats climbed to spots on the Williamsburg Bridge that would make most people’s limbs freeze in fear and gave a very daring, and very illegal performance to onlookers below earlier this evening. Per usual, the story first broke on Twitter as eyewitnesses snapped photos, shot video, and posted updates—mostly about a woman twirling around—including a snippet from the email she tweeportedly sent, identifying her as aerial silk artist Seanna Sharpe, which makes sense after reading this description on her website:

Born on March 21, 1987 Seanna Sharpe fell in love with flight after an early affaire with Peter Pan, and has ever since been climbing, flying, and falling – in style.

UPDATE: The Wall Street Journal identified the male as performer Savage Skinner, real name Thomas Miller. In addition to the curious masses that assembled below, officers from the NYPD and Emergency Services Unit responded and after the duo climbed down, they reportedly tried to make a run for it, but were both taken into custody.

Here she is, beaming, in the back of a squad car:

Their stunt certainly would explain this “cryptic” posting on a circus-centric website promising a free show on Monday, July 11th.

And now … the moment you’ve been waiting for: Below is the holy shit YouTube footage of her swingy, death defying act.
