NYC’s most famous crochet-bomber has encased the Alamo cube in her signature neon crocheting, which reminds us of her epic Wall Street Bull-wrap last from last winter. Speaking of, Olek presented the cube on her Facebook with a short protest-solidarity quip: “I am still proud to say what I do for a living. Occupation Wall St.” Don’t worry, it still spins. In fact, that cube’s the only thing that will be recognizable at Astor Place after the planned mass “renovations.” UPDATE: Video of how she did it below:

Nobody does that to the cube in my town :/
At best it gets Rubiked, but even that gets torn down by the day's end because grounds staff is so protective of it
Its brilliant its mind blowing breaking the boundaries so innovative exciting… Wait actually its 5 people who decided to stay up late at night to carry a big knitted blanket and decorate the cube hmm while the actual ''artist'' finishes up the last few stitches, Congradts Olek surely you never took LSD in your life other wise you would see what your doing and its relevance among other non relevant things, If you want to step your game up how about taking all your knitting skills and making some jackets for the homeless this winter.
Strange, this is exactly what I thought, too. It takes so much time making such a big blanket, why not have some poor suckers benefit from it. On the other hand I love yard-bombing, and I love absurd art, that too has its place. but I don't think other objects of art need to be covered in this rather ugly color combination. Olek should stick to covering other ugly things in the city, something like a rotten house corner or whatever.

Poor suckers ARE benefiting from this, as it is a direct action to help better our country's poor standing…maybe not poop people in the monetary sense, but poor nonetheless…you're talking about color combinations while others are talking about occupying Wall St…
