There’s no denying that Brooklyn DA Charlie Hynes has nothing but the best intentions in mind with the launch of “Safe Stop,” his new initiative that aims to prevent another Leiby Kletzky tragedy by having participating neighborhood businesses post this sticker in their windows and agree to help lost children. But does it really have any chance of being effective? It’s also somewhat ironic that none of the 70 or so stores to have signed up are in Borough Park, where the actual crime took place.
