Michael Moore stopped by the Occupy Wall Street protest on Monday evening, Susan Sarandon Tuesday morning, and tonight, the people were treated to the words of intellectual renaissance man, Dr. Cornel West. Check out his “spiritual breakdancing” techniques.

This is pretty moving. When power gets moved increasingly to fewer and fewer people, people need to hit the streets. At first I dismissed them for lack of focus and naivete, but it seems like they have traction. How will the people take power hijacked by wall street and big oil? Hard to say, but getting the word out is a start.
The cover of the New York Times online this morning had a photo montage of protests in places that are more than 3,000 miles away only, because apparently that is the safe distance to report uprisings. Nothing like a hometown newspaper to completely fail you. Being afraid to lose readership by covering young angry youth in their own city is a complete media fail. As far as I'm concerned, this website, among a few others is more significant than any pussy-assed mass media source. I'm putting the Times into the same category as Fox News, now, since their goals are the same.
