Going beyond the oppressive anti-smoking measures being implemented by the city, CUNY will ban smoking on all its campuses, including outdoor areas reports the Daily News. That shouldn’t be too hard to enforce, right? Especially at Hunter College’s very public location on 68th Street and Lexington.

Whether or not smoking in fact causes cancer or other health concerns is irrelevant to me. The fact remains that smoking and smokers stink.
I don't wish to breath in this foul odor every time I walk within 20 feet of a smoker. Its like constantly being assaulted by someones flatulence. Smokers loiter around every doorway on campus.
While it may not be illegal due to monetary, tax, or failed prohibition reasons, smoking should be banned, and it benefits everyone, not just the 85% of us non-smokers.
