I.C.E. agents in New York proudly announced the reparation of five hand-carved human skulls to Indonesia. Dating back to the 18th century, the decorative “headhunting” trophies belong to the notorious Dayak Tribe of Borneo. The artifacts were seized last summer for not being properly declared and an Indonesian official said they’ll be “stored in an institution that would appropriately preserve them.” (Photo: Amy Zimmer/DNAinfo)
