Meet Jeremy Clinch. He’s the unfortunate young man who the New York Post desperately tried to paint as the poster child of the Occupy Wall Street movement, by splashing his mug across the front page of Friday’s paper and posting a video of him flipping out.
The tabloid also uploaded a follow up clip that’s so laden with censoring beeps you can hardly understand a word he says. So, we decided to give him a chance to tell his side of story, but after interviewing him, quickly realized that he definitely has mental problems and is more of a hanger-on than a demonstrator.
How many times has anyone seen him partake in the GA? Or a working group? Full disclosure: He demanded a small vanilla shake and fries from McDonald’s to shoot the video.
I met this person in a professional context. The system certainly has failed this troubled young man. I liked him, too.
Word jeremy is my baby. it such a shame how the media depicits people. He has problems b.c of life but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t know what he’s doing or talking about. That’s crazy! Hes my love and my heart goes out to him. Effin media there a whole bunch of negative dilusional talkers. Where’s the truth?!
