Last week, someone with a really bad mustache and possibly armed with some inside info, broke into Marc Ecko’s offices on West 23rd street and stole a Kaws painting valued at $100k that was hanging in the hallway like a cheap poster.
Although some claim it’s all just a clever marketing prank, we called the NYPD’s Major Case Squad phone number that the former mogul put on his Tumblr and confirmed that the theft did indeed take place.
“It’s the real thing,” said an officer who answered the phone. This Craigslist ad, however, claiming to be selling the stolen work for $150k, has to be a fake.

of course its a publicity scheme…………now mainstream artist kaws is learning from his collegues,,,,he knows what im talking about……i guess hes name isnt on peoples mouths….screw you paws kaws
