The Wall Street Journal, a newspaper owned by Rupert Murdoch, seems to think so and has a message about NYC cyclists that its sensationalist, short bus riding cousin might want to consider: they’re not all bad. Shockingly, there appears to be a correlation between warmer weather and an increase in the amount of outdoor activity people are willing to participate in, bicycling included.

Those deserted bike lanes in the stark of winter that certain news outlets made a big fuss about are no more and like foliage, cyclists of all types are springing up to use them and yet, blood is not spilling on the streets.

Basically, the fearful rhetoric being mass produced by the local tabloids sounded better on paper than in practice, literally. (Photo: bitchcakes/flickr)
