A Manhattan judge ruled against a once honorable, ex-FDNY firefighter trying to block the construction of an Islamic center near the World Trade Center site. Timothy Brown with the backing of the fanatical American Center for Law and Justice, had filed a lawsuit agains NYC’s Landmarks Preservation.

According to court documents, he argued how the agency “now threatens to do what terrorists failed to accomplish and destroy a building that has been under consideration for landmark status for 20 years.” Justice Paul G. Feinman dismissed that and Brown’s other claim that he can’t properly commemorate victims of the 9/11 attacks with Muslims worshiping a few blocks away. (Photo: ⓅⒶⓎⓅⒶⓊⓁ/flickr)
