An innovative proposal to turn the East River into a public pool is progressing forward steadily. With 18 days still left to go in their Kickstarter campaign, the + Pool team has already raised well over their initial $25,000 goal to “begin physical tests of the filtration materials.” However, it’s still going to take another $500,000 to build a proper model that can be officially presented to city officials and millions more to construct the actual pool, but still, well done.
