We’re big fans of Cleon Peterson’s meticulously-constructed orgies of ultraviolence: His narrative panels are akin to graphic novels and his depressing social commentary is festively hued. Peterson’s latest series deals with wars between individuals: “solitary, poor, nasty, brutish, and short.”

See society fight, fuck and fuck each other over in the cities “where law breakers and law enforcers are one in the same; a world where ethics have been abandoned in favor of personal entitlement.” In other words, a documentary series? “White Flag,” Cleon Peterson, May 17 – Jun 11, Joshua Liner Gallery, NYC
