NYPD’s New Tactic to Stop Dumping of Docs

The NYPD must have decided that two public shamings is all they can handle and we’re happy to report that they’ve removed the two city trash cans from in front of the Manhattan South Task Force stationhouse on 42nd Street. Bravo!

Meanwhile, their spokesman, Paul Browne, had this to say about the incident: “While none of the documents appear to be sensitive, the command should ensure they’re shredded,” adding, “especially since someone with a lot of time on his hands is going through the garbage there.”

So, it’s a good thing the bins are gone, otherwise, based on this reasoning, unless I become busier, there’s no way the police department can ensure that documents are disposed of properly. Still, well done. (Photo: ANIMALNewYork)
