Gregor is back. DirecTV’s Slav caricature with all the opulence returns. In the latest ad, Gregor’s donning a satin red fitness suit while electrodes pump his biceps and pretty ladies dab at his sweat beads. “I am epic win!” says Gregor. Fail?
The similarity between Gregor’s grammatically quirky “Opulence… I has it!” slogan and lolcat linguists was subtle the first time around. Hilarity ensued. Now the kitsch-peddling ad execs bust out with a full on meme… and an outdated one at that. For shame!
Well, at least, the miniature giraffe is taken care of. The gilded bit has dulled a bit, but it’s all still mighty amusing.
