![Parting Shot: Don’t Fuck With… [Insert Saying Here]](http://content.animalnewyork.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/07/3738351571_fe7fafa0a7_b-345x247.jpg)

Fucking Dope!
Who did this?
written by a hipster in a quickly changing Bushwick neighborhood… how ironic
Actually NO. Ironic is the word "hipster" though.
*you're
thank you.
i wonder if they were like "oh shit i fucked up, it's you're" or they went on about their day thinking they were badass
What is ironic about the work “hipster”? That they are really lame?
It's the dumbest fucking word in the English lexicon at this point and everyone is guilty of using it. It's inane. It makes no sense. Be descriptive. Say who you mean. That's the point of language. What the hell is a "hipster"? Someone who lives in Brooklyn? A Japanese toy collector? Bike messenger? And now graffiti writer? All of the following by today's standards would be considered one. Shit just makes no sense. STOP USING IT.
message from the hipsters to the last of the quickly vanishing real brooklynites who survived years of hard living only to be financially forced out of THEIR HOOD now thats its finally getting "better". shame
Shouldn't that of said, "THERE HOOD"?
All of those would be considered hipsters if they dress like hipsters…yup.
A real New Yorker would have put “youz” anyway.
hipster is actually descriptive of a style of dress and act. a scene a genre, whatever you want to label it-but it is indeed a label like a yuppie-hippie- flapper- hip-hopper etc. sure it can get thrown around loosely to those it does not apply to as all of these do, and although the different types of people you mentioned my also be hipsters bucky- just being a bike messenger, garf writer etc does NOT mean you are a hipster- true, but there are actual hipster- i understand your frustration with the word, or more specifically- the people who do indeed fit into the category.
the ironic thing about the word is that actually being a 'hipster' is not so hip.
i think that's a dumb argument, bucky. people know the operational def of hipster. the word makes sense and is easily visualized. it doesn't have to be all or nothing: hipsters are people like you. that's the bottom line. sorry man. i'm not for or against hipsters but i know one when i see one.
DUMB. See this: http://animalnewyork.com/2011/09/parting-shot-158…
