A Manchester Evening News photographer Sean Wilton was documenting a fight outside a court building and was ordered to stop by a threatening cop. When the photographer explained his rights, he was arrested for “breaching the peace” and thrown in the back of a police van with six brawlers.

A Manchester Police Department spokesperson stated that “Officers brought the situation under control and the photographer was de-arrested and subsequently released,” subsequently coining one of the stupidest terms ever to cover up such an obnoxious injustice.
