Tibetan monks and Warsaw street artists created a series of legal murals for the Dalai Lama on his 76th birthday to remind the Poles that China is still violating human rights. The works show the face of a bleeding, beaten Tibetan and a Chinese dragon attacking a Tibetan girl.

“We must remind the public and above all the politicians who are negotiating with Chinese authorities and businesses,” says organizer Piotr Cykowski of the Other Space Foundation art collective. And you thought it was all about Ai Weiwei.

The murals are located under a ramp overlooking Warsaw’s Tibet roundabout show, which was originally meant to be named “Free Tibet,” but “the city of Warsaw did not allow the word ‘free.'”
