Kenny Scharf doesn’t have to worry about graffiti writers spray painting his Bowery Mural anymore, now it’s French street artist JR’s turn. In stark contrast to the latter’s brightly colored drippy faces, the $100k TED prize winner installed one of his signature, boring, oversized photo pieces of DJ Two Bears’ eyes that is just about as inviting to vandals as a blank canvas. So, how long will it last? (Photo: Scott Lynch/flickr)
