Maybe some good can come of the Tea Party’s conspiracy theory leaning brand of politics. Yes I just said that. Apart from their insistence that Barack Obama is a socialist-Kenyan-secret Muslim appointed to destroy America from within or attempt to revert the country to a time when black people were slaves and women couldn’t vote, they are responsible for doing something honorable.
According to the Washington Post, “several tea party-aligned members” in the House helped defeat an extension of the rights-trampling Patriot Act. Looks like we’re going to have to revert to that pesky old Constitution thingy again.
