Artist Shannon Rankin’s Uncharted Maps series is an understated fix for your map art porn addiction. It needs to be admired delicately, tentatively. Roads sliced out of atlases form fractured little patterns. Antarctica is full of holes. That other continent doesn’t look right, not at all and yet… it really does. Bonus: Check out her Transplant series for a biology-inspired map veins in petri dish-like frames. Nice.
