Cesar Kuryiama gamed net notoriety earlier this year by filming one second of his life every day for a year, then splicing the results into a heartwarming and funny six-minute filmic collage. After a year of TED talks and CNN appearances, Kuriyama says he’s going to continue filming one second every day for the rest of his life, and now, he wants to let you in on the fun with a new app.

Currently funding on Kickstarter, Kuriyama’s “1 Second Everyday” iPhone app would provide users with an easy way to make a similar film, shooting, editing, and splicing footage within a single interface.

This thing looks awesome, and I’ll be first in line to try it out if it gets funded. At the time of this writing, the project has reached $8,037 of its $20,000 goal, with 28 days left.

Check out Kuriyama’s original video above, and a more detailed description of the app’s capabilities here.
