I know you just saw a New York City timelapse, but I dare you to watch Christian San Jose’s beautifully-shot, beautifully-curated collection of timelapses and not sigh. Set to the twinkling piano of “Pastures” by Ahmad Jamal, this tiny glimpse of New York reads like a heartsick poet’s sonnet for his sweetheart. The Williamsburg Bridge on a grey, sleepy morning, the Manhattan Bridge in a rosy dawn — it just makes your heart ache. Even an ugly condominium looks elegant and dignified as clouds dutifully march by. Oh Gotham! Tell me you love me, too!
