In a world of iThings and eDoodads, material books have become practically obsolete, but Alexander Korzer-Robinson puts them to good use. Robinson transforms vintage illustrations into new, whimsical, sculpted 3D collages. Old medical illustrations have never been this useful since… a long time ago. Here are his newest pieces.
Robinson says:
“These books, having been stripped of their utilitarian value by the passage of time, regain new purpose. They are no longer tools to learn about the world, but rather a means to gain insight about oneself.”
Starting next week he will be showcasing his work at the Affordable Art Fair in Hampstead, London.
