“I refuse to abridge my free speech so as to appease savages,” explained Pamela Geller, the right-wing blogger who made it her mission to post inflammatory anti-Islam signage all over the New York City subway, in an exclusive interview with the Observer. Apparently Ms. Geller has not yet had her fill of Muslim-bashing, because she’s back with a new slew of hateful subway ads.

Geller, also the the Executive Director of the American Freedom Defense Initiative (branded a hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center), recently purchased more wall-space in order to propagate her own special blend of Islamophobia. The latest poster features a skyline shot of the twin towers in flames, supported by a provocative quote from the Quran: “Soon shall We cast terror into the hearts of the Unbelievers.”

This time at least, the ads will be accompanied by a disclaimer from the MTA that makes up 25% of the print space, in accordance with a new rule inspired by Geller’s last fiasco. Geller, however, is prepared for the inevitable backlash, and has printed twice as many ads as before. They’ll hit more than 50 stations, starting December 17.

You know what to do.
