I cannot get enough of these videos of Gabriel Royal, the Orpheus of the Metropolitan Avenue G station. This one, shot by Brett Paine Murphy, is particularly lovely (though, really, you should watch them all). The green of the tiles behind Royal and of the columns by the track are quietly echoed by the green on his shirt. The recording of the cellist’s voice makes it sound like he’s right next to you. And Jesus Christ, he is so unbearably handsome. It’s enough to make you want to ride the G.

Hey, Gabriel. That’s my stop.
