German photographer Boris Loder wants you to pay attention. He wants you to pay attention so much, he is actually clearing out all the useless shit out of your way. In his new photo series “Urban Elements,” he captures inner city landscapes, zeroes in on something precious — a building, a mailbox — and isolates it from other elements.

The technique contrast the structures’ original designs and their current state of “destitution,” i.e. environmental exposure to everything from advertisements to street art. Less is more?
