You know when you want to do something good for your body and then want to do something kind of bad for it? Bushwick’s Cobra Club has got you covered. The yoga studio on Wyckoff Avenue has started serving cocktails in the back for that post-stretch whistle-wetting. Founder Nikki Koch says, “After a good yoga class you feel amazing, but if you want to talk to people you have to scramble to find a place to sit down and catch up. We thought it would be cool to have a yoga space in the back and then have the bar so you don’t have to look for something else.” They also feature some delicious-sounding specialty hot dogs (hot dog with fritos, beef chili and cheez whiz, anyone?) for a speedy un-doing of the workout you just sweat through.
What I’m really into, though, is the fact that all the drinks are named after Misfits songs—the “We Are 138” has features Bulleit Bourbon and St. Germain, the “Last Caress” is a Lillet-based beverage. It’s a good thing this place exists, because I think the only way to get me to do yoga is to get me good and trashed. You know, the downward-facing Jane.
