When politicians talk about the immigration problem, they’re usually referring to Mexicans, some of the hardest people who are willing to do the jobs that Americans refuse to, but according to a report from the Pew Hispanic Center, that could all change: “The largest wave of immigration in history from a single country to the United States has come to a standstill.” And we didn’t even have to fence in the entire southern border. This downturn began just around the time the economy began to implode. Between that, President Obama’s aggressively deportation policy, and Mexico’s raging drug war, there’s been a monumental shift. Does that mean Americans will start picking fruit, delivering food, and working at bodegas? If so, I can’t wait to see these chickens come home to roost. (Photo: Jijo Thomas/flickr)
