The story of Gilberto Valle, the Queens policeman who allegedly plotted to kidnap, cook, and eat dozens of women, is one of the grislier news events of recent memory, and it just got even more bizarre. With some crack reporting, the folks at DNAinfo uncovered that Valle’s wedding registry was chock full of cookware, including “Oven Lovin‘” branded baking pans and a food processor.

An e-mail obtained by federal investigators shows Valle describing to his co-conspirator just how big his oven is. “Big enough to fit one of these girls if I folded their legs,” he wrote. “I was thinking of tying her body onto some kind of apparatus…cook her over a low heat, keep her alive as long as possible.”

Fortunately, Valle’s wife, with whom he had relationship troubles, intervened and tipped off authorities before he could carry out his plan.
