A Brooklyn food cart vendor is disregarding the city’s orders and has moved his cart back to the same place its reportedly been operating for 20 years, right underneath the staircase of the Flushing Avenue J/M station. (For those keeping score, that’s basically an area where the borders of Williamsburg, Bushwick, and Bed Stuy converge.)

Ikram Hussan says his family has been selling coffee and donuts outside of the NYC’s scariest hospital for over two decades, but was told to move, along with a Halal cart, because officials claim they’re a fire hazards. Unlike the latter, Hussan doesn’t have a generator or any gas cans which would probably explain why he was in his old spot today while his more grill centric peer had indeed moved further down the street.
