Apparently, before Gotye was making chart-topping “adult alternative” snoozers, he sounded more like Augustus Pablo than Peter Gabriel–and for some reason, one of his dubby vintage cuts recently got a brand new official video. The song, an instrumental, is six years old and sounds nothing like the Gotye We Used to Know–it’s all bass, laser sound-effects, and minor-key melodica–and the video, in which whimsical animated critters march around a geometric city, is even better.
