The world’s most high tech glider and only one of NASA’s space shuttles to have never left the Earth’s atmosphere, Enterprise, has landed… at the Intrepid, sort of. For the next few hours, the retired prototype orbiter will carefully be positioned and hoisted by a massive barge crane onto the slightly modified flight deck of the WWII aircraft carrier where it will spend its last days.

Back in April, the shuttle was delivered to the city atop a specially-outfitted 747. After arriving at JFK, it was then put on a barge, where it sustained minor damage, and then sailed to New Jersey for a slumber party before making its way up the Hudson River.
